Chris Ruben entered the pet industry by importing bully sticks, pig ears, and other body-part treats from Europe into the U.S., eventually establishing domestic manufacturing in 1990. He then incorporated CMR Creative Marketing Resources, Inc., exporting natural pet treats to Canada, Japan, and Korea. For 36 years, federal and state compliance has been a routine part of his operations.

Throughout his career, Chris has developed, sourced, sold, imported, and exported hundreds of branded and private-label pet foods, treats, and supplements. He maintains strong working relationships with state and federal regulators, having handled numerous state feed registrations, import permits, dozens of ‘Stop Sale’ orders as well as several Import Alerts and Recalls.
